Your stop for literary agents and publishing success.
Literary Agents Research Service
To help a writer through the process of finding an agent, the Literary Agents Research service is designed to help authors find agents that are more likely to work with their type of manuscript and scrutinize literary representatives for credibility issues. The Literary Agents Research service:
- evaluates which agents are stronger matches for an author's particular manuscript
- assesses the literary agents for membership in industry organizations that base their criteria for inclusion on credibility factors
- investigates for possible available feedback (positive or negative)
- verifies most recent contact information, submission guidelines, and preferred manuscript genre or topics, where possible
- obtains sales history, if available (may be an extra charge)
- provides client with written list of agents researched and presents ALL information obtained
- targets a list 20 to 30 literary agents for sending submission materials
Our Literary Agents Research service was featured in an hour-long podcast interview with client, Jerry Manas, at The Project Managment Podcast website. The entire interview focuses on issues Jerry learned through the publishing process and project management lessons for authors. Though our services were quoted a couple of times, the Literary Agents Research service is specifically referenced beginning with the 38:00 minute mark to the 40:00 minute mark.
Cost:
The cost of the Literary Agents Research service may vary, but is usually around $400. Please inquire via our Contact Form for a free consultation and an estimate. For an opportunity to have your manuscript pitched in person to literary agents and/or book publishers by a publishing professional, please read about the BookExpo America Representation service.
Free Proposal Consultation or Sample Edit
After reading the articles (or even before, if you'd like), I'd be happy to provide you with a free initial consultation or provide a sample edit for a manuscript. To set up either, simply:
- Fill out the Contact Form to request a phone appointment (from Lori Lisi).
- Include the status of your manuscript and any submission materials.
- Include several possible time frames to set up a phone appointment.
- If you have a draft of your proposal and/or the first two chapters of your manuscript, please upload that into the form as well.
You will be contacted within 24 to 72 hours. This will allow me the time to review the materials and information you might send before we set up the phone appointment. Please be sure to include times you might be available to set up the appointment.
I'll look forward to speaking with you!
